2018 marks the 100th birthday of modern Romania, a perfect occasion to visit some of the Romanian landmarks in the Transylvanian history. Beyond any exacerbated nationalistic myths, we will start our journey with the visit of the Orthodox Monastery of Ramet, dating back to the 13th century and continue to the small city of Blaj, the place where many of the emancipation movements of the 19th century took place. Today’s main attraction will be Alba Iulia, where we will relive the story of the great assembly of the 1st of December 1918, when modern Romania was founded.
